Three things
CAD modeling
I used Rhino to create models of 3 objects that facilitate rich interactions in my life every day. This exercise forced me to really look at these objects and appreciate every nut and bolt, curve and imperfection. I focused exclusively on shape.
Every morning I get up and go through the ritual of making myself masala chai using almond milk, black loose leaf tea, fresh cardamom, ginger and cloves in this pot. After all the ingredients are in I put my hands over the pot to feel the warmth emanate from the pot and wait patiently for the chai to simmer and release its distinctive aroma. The pot is characterized by two spouts: a big one and a small one.
This is the screen spray bottle I use to carefully wipe my laptop screen almost every day to remove the oil and residue from the previous day. The act of wiping away the streaks symbolizes a new day of work.
Each day I try to take some time to do some pranayama or “breathing exercises” that my yogi father taught me. The exercises help me reset by evening out my breaths. This timer helps me keep track of time as I move through my exercises.
